Motor Consultants LLC is an independent network of renowned electric motor and generator design experts with industry or research background, created by two well-known individuals in this field, Mr Jim HENDERSHOT and Mr Clyde HANCOCK.

The focus of the services provided is centered on the design analysis & manufacturing of electric motors and generators. Both partners are widely recognized amongst the pioneers of brushless motor technologies including permanent magnet and switched reluctance types.

Expert consulting services for associated technologies relating to rotary and linear motion control are also provided by Motor Consultants utilizing world leading technical associates who are hired as sub-contractors on a need basis, depending upon customers’ requirements. These services include detailed thermal analysis of electric machines and high and ultra-high speed motor/generator and spindle design. Expertise includes foil bearings and hybrid bearings as well as high speed shaft dynamic analysis and high speed rotor retention.
